Finding Freedom In Owning Your Own Business

By Amanda M.

In order to truly find freedom in your life, you must first be in control of your situation. The only way in which I have found and have listened to experts speak on the topic is to become an entrepreneur. Now many of you may be saying, "How does a person open a business in this down economy?" The answer is to think outside the box.

Today, Internet businesses are booming as traditional businesses in some industries are struggling. Traditional business owners may find themselves stressed out personally and financially over the continuous flow of bills to pay despite declining work loads.

The home based Internet business sector is booming in today's economy and the entrepreneurs of these businesses are experiencing financial and time freedom.

When you find a home based Internet business opportunity that has been properly created, you will also find individual entrepreneurs who are experiencing work loads of about 30 hours full time, and annual incomes of multiple 6 and even 7 figures.

Home based business entrepreneurs can truly create freedom for themselves and their families. They are able to set their own work schedule, put in the amount of effort they wish to generate the income they desire, and work from their home or anywhere else they choose.

Speaking of working from wherever you choose, I recently went on a family vacation to the beach. While my husband and various family members took off an entire week of vacation time from work to come, I had to ask no one for permission to leave. I was able to occasionally check my emails, contact leads, and work as much or as little as I chose around beach and pool time.

It was truly a stress-free vacation for me as I looked forward to coming home to continue working my business as opposed to dreading everything that had to be done upon my return.

Although, I wish it wasn't so, the only true security net in corporate America today is to be self-employed. Using your creativity and perseverance you can become a successful home based Internet business owner.

These businesses require no previous knowledge, you can begin earning money your first day, and learn the necessary information as you go, growing your business at whatever pace you choose.

Isn't it about time you really lead a life of freedom? Home based internet businesses are not too good to be true, but if anyone tells you making millions overnight is a piece of cake, they are lying to you.

Begin the process of living life on your own terms financially, personally, and with time freedom today by considering a home based Internet business.

Learn To Walk Before You Run With Your Home Business

By Cindy Solomon

As the old saying goes, you have to learn to walk before you can run. Failing to realize this is one of the reasons that 97% of internet marketers fail when trying to start a work at home business. To become part of the 3% that do not fail, you have to know what you are doing and be willing to put your time and effort into building your business. Internet marketing is not an easy business.

So many of us jump into a home business without even thinking about what we need to know or how hard we need to work. We want to make money and we want to make money now, especially with the economic crisis of today. The best solution to securing your financial freedom is to think outside of the box. Look for an opportunity that is going to teach you what you need to do to be successful. You have to be willing to take that dramatic step to totally change your life. You have to realize that before you can take off running, you have to be able to walk. And most important, do not fall into a "get rich quick" scheme. As with any business, online or offline, there is always someone out there trying to take your hard earned money. Do your research.

Look for a company that offers the training and support to get you started walking. Look for a company where the top earners are willing to help you anyway they can. A business opportunity that offers no support or training, or gives you access to the Top Earners, is bound to lead you to your failure.

A person does not have to want to quit their JOB to have a successful home business in internet marketing. Start a business that you can run part-time to start, while you keep your day job. Not everyone wants to quit their job. Many of us that have taken this approach have been pleasantly surprised when we realize that we may no longer need our job and we are keeping it only because we want to.

If you are thinking about starting the journey to change your financial future, that first step is the hardest. Make the decision to start a home business needs to be thought over very carefully. Do you have money to invest if needed? Make sure that you have the training and support to keep walking and even after you learn to walk will enable you to start running. Once you are able to start running, you do not want to be left on your own. Make sure your company will be running with you to the finish line!

Do your research and make sure that the business you want to join is legitimate.

7 Ways to Manage Breaks As A Home-Based Business Owner

By Godfrey Philander

This week during a coaching session, one of my clients shared her ongoing struggle with managing "breaks" throughout the day. Whenever she felt the need to get up from her desk and stretch her legs, she found herself in the kitchen.

As a result of this habit, she is now 20 pounds heavier, very uncomfortable and extremely unhappy with herself.

Unfortunately this phenomenon is all too common among entrepreneurs who transition from the outside work world to working from home.

Home business presents challenges not normally experienced while working in the corporate or "outside" world and managing breaks is a big one.

When you work outside of the home, a break might be spent by a water cooler, in a lunchroom, or outside on a bench chatting with a co-worker. When you do spend your break in the company lunchroom, you seldom find a fully stocked fridge and cupboards chock full of food at your disposal.

When you work from home, your break locations aren't quite as extensive and because it's very unlikely you would spend this time sitting in a bedroom or talking to yourself in the bathroom mirror, the kitchen is the most logical destination.

How you spend your breaks at home requires a little creativity and A LOT of discipline. By giving yourself options, setting limits, and creating healthy habits, it won't take long for you to re-direct yourself when you find yourself drifting towards the kitchen.

Here are 7 simple options to get you started:

1. Grab your remote telephone, head outside for a lawn chair and call a friend. This not only addresses the "break" issue but also combats the feelings of isolation that often affect home-based business owners. The important thing to remember here is set limits for yourself. Institute a 15-minute break rule and enforce it, otherwise you can lose an entire afternoon.

2. Pick up your mail. Whether the mailbox is at the end of your driveway or just down the street, this is the perfect opportunity for you to stretch your legs and get some fresh air.

3. Play your favorite CD and listen to song that takes your mind completely off your work. Enjoy a cool glass of juice or a tasty cup of tea while you immerse yourself in the music. If you're feeling a little sluggish, pop a lively tune into your boom box and kick up your heels! There's no better energy boost than a good boogie!

4. Take a walk around the block. Take your puppy with you and light two candles with one flame. Get to know your neighbors, keep your pet healthy, and enjoy the great outdoors.

5. Meditate. There's nothing like a midday meditation to free your mind and relax the body. The benefits are immense and impact all areas of your life and business.

6. Set kitchen hours. Establish certain times throughout the day when the kitchen is off limits and stick to them.

7. Sweep the entryway or vacuum the living room. It may not be exciting but it will give your mind the break it needs, and will save you time elsewhere so you can spend it with family and friends. A few little cleaning breaks throughout the day really add up.

What other ideas come to mind for you?

Your success and wellness all boil down to discipline, creative thinking, and being gentle with yourself. Don't beat yourself up if you've created habits that are counterproductive. Instead, seek solutions and take appropriate action.

It's all about developing structures and processes and when you realize you have the power to design your own activities, you will create amazing results for yourself.

4 Hot Tips For Work At Home Moms

By Ben Needles

Since the world is becoming more dangerous by the day, especially for children, many parents, particularly mothers, are leaving their work to stay at home with their family. With the rising number of crimes, even in school campuses, many mothers would want to keep an eye on their kids and help prevent them being victimized by pederasts, sexual predators and illegal drug pushers.

Because of the rising fuel prices and mounting cost of living, many stay-at-home moms are now considering opening up a home business to help their family financially. However, a lot of them do not know what type of business to establish.

If you are one of the mothers who want to make extra money at home but are unsure what to do, here are some tips that could help you decide what to do:

Use your skills and education

The first thing you should consider when planning to open up a business is to look at your skills and field of expertise. More often than not, you can use your experience and education in providing freelance services.

If you are a certified public accountant, you can probably help small businesses with their financial statements, bookkeeping or offer financial advice and other services. You can bring home your work and you don’t need to spend as much as time reviewing small businesses accounts.

Many work at home moms are freelancers. If you have writing experience and skills, you could provide abstracting service, copy writing or help make marketing materials. If you used to be a teacher, you can probably provide tutoring services.

Concentrate on your interests and hobbies

If you do not want to pursue a business related to your previous career or educational background, you can also rely on the things you love and want to do. You can always depend on your interests and hobbies to provide you with business ideas.

If you know how to cook or bake, you can sell your goodies during Christmas, Valentine’s, Thanksgiving and even Halloween. There are many people who hate to cook, so you can probably get paid to provide home-cooked food for some families or you can cater birthday celebrations and other parties.

Handicrafts and homemade products are very popular today. If you love crafts, you can sell your homemade bags, custom jewelry, herbal soaps and beauty products, souvenirs, caps and shirts, and knitted or crocheted blouses and sweaters.

Be a sales mom

Another option for you to make money is through selling make-up products, medicines and other retail goods. There are many multilevel marketing companies that you can join. However, before you part with your money, be careful and ensure that the company you are going to join is a legitimate one. Stay away from companies that are promising to make you rich by recruiting people, chances are these are scams.

Learn what the World Wide Web can offer

If you want to earn only during your free hours, you can always find home-based businesses opportunities on the Internet. You can sell your goods, provide service, or even tutor a kid with just one click of the mouse.

There are many websites that are looking for service providers. You can provide transcription and writing services, translation and even editing, indexing and proofreading services. You can also sell your stuff or the goodies that you made via auction sites.

You can also make your own website and sell your services and trade goods over the net. There are already a huge percentage of people who prefer to shop online, so take advantage of this trend.

As you can see, there are many businesses you can manage even if you are at home. Nowadays, mothers can opt to stay at home to take care of their children, and at the same time be financially independent by making money even when they are at home.
